I already intended to give an enthusiastic 5 star review, as it is the best villa I've ever stayed in, but we are just so thankful and have even more reason for it now. Everything is comfortable, cozy, luxurious, beautiful, and the staff are so kind and generous to the guests. The personal hot tubs were amazing. Great place to watch aurora and the stars as it's about 20-25mins from the nearest town Husavik. I write this review with an extra message of appreciation and gratitude to our host, who was very sweet and welcoming to us and accommodated us last minute when we were caught nearby in a freeze that closed the roads ahead of us ruined our trip. That isn't it, she also, after we had already left, contacted us to warn us about a destructive Volcanic Eruption that began to make sure we were well informed and safe. I am so grateful for thoughtful people like the hosts at Svartaborg. We never even met, but you had the humanity and thought to reach out and warn us. Thank you so much, Rosa! PS. Husavik, the nearby town is beautiful. It's where Will Ferrell, Rachel McAdams, Demi Lovato, Pierce Brosnan, etc filmed the 2020 Eurovision film. I also recommend pairing your stay at Svartaborg with a visit to Husavík’s Geo Sea Spa while staying here, too (the pool photo). It's phenomenal. Geo Spa + Svartaborg weekend is the most luxurious weekend I've ever had in my life.
